For this shoot, I was going for a some what editorial look so a lot of emphasizes was put on the contrast and saturation plus shadows. And there is something remarkably gorgeous about red heads so Jayde was the ideal girl for this shoot, also the red lipstick with the dark gold-ish brown eye shadow just completed the shoot.

To be sincerely truthful, I am not a fan of kate Moss, between the drug usage, weird looking boyfriends, and 50% nudity of photography, I just don't think she's a good role model but I do have to admit the girl knows how to pose in front of a camera and this dior add is another proof of that.

Today I spent the day snapping pictures as I travelled from town to town under this gorgeous bright sunny day. I've been wanting to take pictures under the shinning sun for the longest time and now that I see the results, I am super duper happy of how they came out. Plus, let us all take note of the gorgeous hat worn by the man who in person appeared to be a bum yet very photogenic on camera and the gorgeous red pants worn by the dude holding a huge coke bottle. And at the top are my oxford inspired shoes that I have worn way to much and must purchase a new pair, my H&M bag that I use at least five times a week, my black jacket that was originally 85$ but I purchased it for 10$ and my real canadian water bottle that I must drink daily. At the very bottom a pricey chocolate chip banana cake that's totally worth the expense.

So I couldn't post anything in the past few days because I am in the middle of moving out of my dorm room. I snapped a few pictures lately but I forgot my camera cord somewhere that is making it practically impossible for me to find it. Today I came across these beautiful photographs. Again, I find pictures that look somewhat natural, meaning less photoshop done to it, more beautiful and inspiring. The pictures looked way more natural than they seem, I added a retro feel to the photograph because I want too.

Currently I am in between exams and moving my crap out of my dorm room and back to my parents' house for the summer. Studying sucks and I have become very lazy, although being in university should motivate me more but nope it is the opposite affect. I have been snapping a few photos lately that I find to be interesting while my new blog that I was supposed to release last month, is still not open because now I am lost into knowing what it is exactly that I want to blog about other than what I currently have on this blog?! Then I found myself mocking people on twitter, indirectly of course with no names mention; that would be just cruel, people who use face book as an outlet to feel a sense of being loved or needed by others by posting messages in order to get words of encouragements or responses from others? A bit tacky but heyyy it's a free country so do your thang.

Above you have pictures of foods, drinks, bikes (I have this obsessive habits of taking pictures of them), my nerdy aldo eye wear that I am obsessed with, the atrium which is a coffee spot on my campus where me and my bestfriend always hangout at and whatever else I find worthy of photographing. Please check out Garance's latest post here about fashion, it is so funny the best thing to wake up too from a long nap after realizing that you most likely just failed a final exam. Also, if anyone saw Jennifer Lopez' new video on the floor with pitbul and found your self-esteem dropping on the ground because you realize how unfair it is that a 42 year old woman looks that amazing, yeahhh than join the club.

Today mother nature gave Canada a windy raining day, giving me the opportunity to wear my rubber rain boots which I love and found myself amazed by the amount of Hunter boots that I saw Canadian students wear around campus. I took the time to go around my school and snap a few photos by utilizing the Cloudy mode on my camera plus playing around with the colour tone options and seeing the difference that it makes on my photos, hence this picture of a mysterious man whose hat I just adore and die for. Friday night I took a picture of this new messenger bag from Aldo that I recently purchased and just love but fear that I will easily get it dirty. I strongly doubt that I have ever mentioned what I do in my spare time aside from photography, well as you continuously keep visiting my blog you will discover more fascinating things about me. Well for starter, I actually live in Ontario Canada and work for Aldo. Hence, you will often see me photograph Aldo products. These are the new colourful limited edition wedge that are just amazed me and I don't even know if they are available online yet? Then, in the faux black velour we have some black wedge that I have for a while now and if I may say so myself, they are the most comfortable shoes of life, plus Erika Marie who I love and adore has the exact same pair, only difference is that she rocks them with jeans whereas me I wear them with shorts and dresses, but I am definitely stealing her idea of pairing them with denims. Then we have the combat boots which I wear every single day, very unlikely of me because I hate repeating shoes, but these bad boys are so practical because they go with everything and for a university student, these babies are ideal. They are only two weeks old but I dump them in the mud purposely just to make them look nastier because I think that combat boots should never be clean. Well these shots were taken two minutes ago with my 50 mm lense that I recently purchased, tomorrow or the following day, I will attempt to post an Aldo bag that I bought and I am obsessed with already.

I have been experimenting with fashion a lot lately, especially working for a fashion brand, so I will try to take photos of frequent outfits in my closet and sort of setting them up like the coveteur as a way to be more creative, well not really since I am stealing his idea but o well if you're going to have a blog you know the world will eventually steal an idea from you, but I see as a compliment rather than thief.

I came across this pictures of Miss Hilary Duff who I absolutely adore. Her style is so fab and effortlessly done, doesn't that make you envious of those who seem to have instant intuition of what to wear and just go with it without any hesitation? Please check out the sexy Lanvin wedge on her, RE-DONKY-LOUS? I think wedge heels are so comfy unlike pumps, well that's just me and no matter how high they are, they are just perfect for comfort.

Well the year 2011 that is my new philosophy wearing clothing without thinking too hard about matching, but one thing that is certain that my mother always told me is to "make sure your hair looks good or else you are a hot mess", hence another reason why Miss Duff is always hawt, her hair always looks good even after the gym; and trust me after sweating, rarely can someone look good and I know this because I've tried and failed!

Voici my first attempt at imovie, I used to love making amateur movies on my pc with movie maker but having to constantly borrow my friends camera to do so became annoying so I lost my love for it. But the Canon 7D has such great HD video quality to it that is so easy to use that I have found my love for video making again. Just like photography, video making is something that I have to learn in order to become an expert at it, and with videos I find it very important to have a tripod whereas photography the shutter speed allows you to control the stability of what you are attempting to capture. Don't I sound like a genius and a pro who has been doing this for years? Hahaha jokes on you because I am still a beginner.

As previously mentioned in my last post, the horrifying weather today was gross and scary so of course I had to take pictures while bored and convincing myself that I was studying for my French exam.

a giving heart

Lately I have not been feeling inspired to post much unfortunately or to take photos, the earthquake in Japan really shocked me and caused me grief because I feel useless and helpless, although donating to the Red Cross is helpful, when disaster hits a giving heart always wonders what are some ways in which one could be more helpful. Then, I became even more frustrated over the whole situation with Japan when Vogue thought that it would be a great idea to tweet about Blake Lively wearing the latest Louboutins while everyone else mourns for Japan? Fashion is great and something I find myself to often be passionate about but there is more to life than material things. Bringing me to my next sense of guilt because I spent more doe on clothing and shoes than I should be, finding myself to be sick of my closet the following season, isn't that sad? But then, after an hour at the gym and releasing my stress hormone, I found my happy self again when I read Rumi's Japan post upon her return from the country and her daily diary post, which inspires my photography hobby and was glad to know that she survived. I advise everyone to go on the Red Cross website and find a way to donate money to your nearest bank for the devastation of Japan.

Today I spent my day hanging out with a dear friend of mine and making new friends early in the morning, hence, I did not go to the gym but good company is irresistible to me. Things went from great to horrible when the Canadian weather decided to go crazy on us and throw rain/snow at us.

Since I have a French exam tomorrow, I have been studying in the last hour but can't seem to focus on French grammar because it is so boring. So to make myself more useful, I decided to visit some blogs that I find to inspirational and realized that I am obsessed with black and white photography for whatever reason. Some blogs that stand out to me when it comes to B&W photos are; hedi slimane who takes photos that are very rock and rollin inspired. Then, a few weeks ago I discovered a blog called the Contribu-tor and just fell in love with it, things got even better when today in the middle of my boredom I found self serve mag's blog. Can you feel my excitement when writing this post?

I have been looking at blogs and getting inspired by them, I find myself to be very undeceive of what I want to see on my upcoming blog. Garance Dore amazes me with her French sense of Humour and beautiful photography, she's the girlfriend of Blogger the Sartorialist? Juicy and amazing. Then I looked back on some of the Replay campaign photos with Erin in it, that I just love and hope to shoot something similar one day, then that wasn't enough for me because I found myself admiring Swedish blogs who take pictures of everything and anything around them, hence the beautiful girl letting the wind blow her hair under the beautiful sundown lighting, then a very tasty looking bowl of candy complimented with a note that seems to be very thoughtfully written. Then, things got even better when I discovered this blog called From me to you, where the blogger makes these crazy moving photos and captures great moments during NYC fashion week, especially Oscar De La Renta's studio; BA-NA-NAS!

Loving these colours and the background environment, just magnificent. This spring, bright bohemian style is making a huge come back and I am more than happy about that, because during the winter season, people wear way too much black and it's overly done, so colours will be a nice change. And again, based on photography, natural lighting under a bright shining sunny day is best for a photo shoot, at least that's what I was told and I love seeing that.

I love MK Olsen's style, something about this girl that just inspires me. I remember seeing the Olsen twins Fashion Tv interview and they said something intriguing; "dressing up in the morning is like brushing your teeth". The fact that dressing up in the morning is so easy for them fascinates me because they manage to still look put together.

Working at a fashion retail store, I have the luxury of experimenting with many accessories like the scarf she has on, is very similar to something I own. Plus lately, I have been inspired by the whole hippie chic fashion.

I love love Aman Stovall. She is so talented as a designer and with graphics. Her skills on Photoshop just amaze me each time and really hope that I one day can draw graphically like her. Here are some samples of my fav pictures from A.S blog.There are so many that I like but I had to narrow it down.

P.S Really excited because, I have a feeling that very soon I will be getting a new laptop. After I get a new laptop, I will blog regularly then next week hopefully I start working on a new template that I found and love. Really praying that things come together. Thinking of starting a street style section, then expand from there but we'll see. This week, I am giving myself my first photography assignment which is portraits. I hate portrait photography but it is the basics of photos in terms of lighting and proper positions/angles and will help me understand my DSLR a little more.

Now heading to French class and sarcastically excited to learn about les verbes à l'imparfait.
